Dentistry is a big subject, and it’s likely that you may have some questions or concerns about what to expect when pursuing certain treatment options. Don’t worry – our team has plenty of answers to give you in return. Take a look at our most popular FAQ below, and if you still don’t see the information you’re looking for, be sure to contact us directly so that we can discuss it with you.

How often should I see Dr. Philip for a checkup?

To achieve optimal oral health, we recommend visiting Dr. Philip's Sunnyvale office at least twice a year, or about every six months. During your checkup and exam, we’ll look for signs of the most common oral health problems. If we find anything, we would be happy to talk to you about your treatment options.

Do you offer teeth whitening?

Yes, we do. Professional teeth whitening can help you transform the appearance of your teeth in just a single visit. Imagine leaving our office with a smile that’s 6 to 10 shades brighter than it was when you came in! That's exactly what you can look forward to here in Sunnyvale.

What are porcelain veneers?

Porcelain veneers are very thin restorations that are made from high quality porcelain. When attached to the front of your smile, they can utterly transform it by hiding stained, chipped, cracked, misaligned, or oddly spaced teeth. In as few as two appointments, you can finally have the whiter and straighter-looking smile you’ve been dreaming of.

Is Invisalign right for me?

Invisalign is an excellent option for patients who only need to make minor changes to their smile. Patients with more advanced needs will benefit from treatment using traditional braces. If you want to know if Invisalign is right for you, let Dr. Philip assess your smile and talk to you about your options.

Do you offer dental implants?

We offer traditional dental implants and mini dental implants. Traditional implants offer excellent results, but the treatment process requires some time to complete. Mini dental implants, meanwhile, can be placed in a single visit for immediate use. If you’re considering dental implants, talk to Dr. Philip about these two great options.
